Texas Duck Hunting
Rockport, Texas, is one of the top spots for duck hunting in the Lone Star State. With nearly 80% of the continental redhead population wintering along the Texas Coast up to 700,000 birds the action is nonstop. But it’s not just redheads; you’ll also have plenty of opportunities to hunt pintail, wigeon, teal, gadwall, bluebills, and a variety of other diving and puddle ducks that call this area home for the season.
What We Hunt
On the Texas coast, redheads and pintails are the stars of the show, but there’s no shortage of variety. We like to call the rest “bonus birds” including blue wing and green wing teal, wigeon, gadwall, mottled ducks, bluebills, buffleheads, northern shovelers, and more. There’s no better place than the Texas Coastal Bend for a true mixed bag hunt, with most hunts bringing in four or more different species.
Our guided hunts take you right where the action is whether it’s setting up in a marsh blind, or along the bay in the mangroves. With plenty of birds and an experienced guide, you’re in for an unforgettable hunt.
